Trump Wants the DOJ to Reopen Epstein But Only for Democrats

The latest tantrum, we meant demand from the Trump administration arrived not through a formal briefing but through a blast of political theater amplified by loyal surrogates, the President wants the Department of Justice to reopen the Epstein investigation but only to pursue Democrats.

Republicans, apparently, are to be handled with kid gloves and gentle lighting, as if accountability itself is now a partisan luxury item.

It is difficult to decide what is more embarrassing.

The naked political targeting?

The total abandonment of impartial justice?

Or the fact that the President seems to believe Americans won’t notice that he is weaponizing an investigation tied to one of the most notorious sex-trafficking cases of the century?

This isn’t leadership.

It’s a tantrum from a toddler in a dirty diaper.

For a man who loves to accuse everyone else of “witch hunts,” Trump has outdone himself by requesting his very own state-sanctioned broomstick brigade. The order is simple, investigate Democrats, ignore Republicans, and pretend the public won’t see through the transparent manipulation.

It is astonishing how quickly the White House can pivot from claiming persecution to demanding persecution.

This latest stunt has the maturity level of a soap opera villain and the constitutional integrity of a shredded napkin.

It is petty.

It is dishonest.

And it is profoundly un-American. The DOJ is not a private revenge concierge. It does not exist to protect the President’s allies and punish his critics. But under Trump, the line between justice and personal vendetta dissolves like tissue in a storm.

The international community is watching. And what they see is not a stable democracy. They see a petty strongman who treats federal investigations the way a teenager treats TikTok beef, impulsively, emotionally, and with absolutely no regard for consequences.

If the administration wanted to inspire confidence in the justice system, this is not the way. This is however the way to inspire eye-rolling, disbelief and a headline that will age like sour milk.

The irony, of course, is sharper than anything.

Epstein’s orbit did not belong to one party.

It was a bipartisan cesspool.

The demand to investigate only Democrats is not about protecting victims. It is about protecting Republicans who fear being swept into the same spotlight.

If justice is selective, it is not justice.

It is propaganda with a badge.

In a functioning democracy, the President does not get to choose who the law applies to. In Trump’s America, that principle is slipping through the cracks one petty directive at a time.

This is not political strategy.

It is desperation in a cheap suit.

And this country deserves better.
